The show was created by executive producer Ilene Chaiken and Magical
Elves Productions, following the success of the television drama The L
Word. The Real L Word follows a group of lesbians in their daily lives
in Los Angeles, and as of the third season, Brooklyn.With season 1 and 2
being successful, Showtime commissioned a third season, where there
will be many new faces and a few recurring ones.The second season of the
reality series sees only Whitney and Romi return
from its first and introduces five new women: Clare, a New York
transplant; Francine, Clare's college ex; Sajdah, an LGBT activist; and
married couple Cori and Kacy. The third season premiered on Showtime on
